Who I am

Hi! I’m Ashley Swanson, the editor behind Swanson Editing.

I’ve always loved stories and believe strongly in the power of words. As a writer myself, I know how vulnerable it can feel to let strangers see your work, and I take my role as your editor very seriously. I appreciate the trust my clients put in me, and I work tirelessly to make each story the best it can possibly be.

Some fun facts about me:

  • I have a Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Minnesota State University Moorhead (Go, Dragons!)

  • I’ve worked as an editor on over 50 book projects (and counting!)

  • I taught English, Literature, and Creative Writing at the college level for five years before transitioning to book editing full time

  • When I’m not editing, reading, or writing, you can usually find me spending time outside with my family and our rescue pup, Wiley.
